Learning Resources

Cyberbullying Website

https://www.stopbullying.gov/cyberbullying/what-is-it

This website explains what cyberbullying is and how to deal with it. It discusses how people can use social media, texts, or online messages to hurt or embarrass others. The website goes into detail about where cyberbullying usually happens—like on Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, and in group chats. It also explains why it’s serious and how some actions could even be against the law. Most importantly, it gives tips on how to stop it, get help, and keep yourself and others safe online.

Cyberbullying Youtube video

This short video is a stand-up speech by Keith Deltano where he teaches students about cyberbullying—what it is, how it happens, and why it’s a serious problem. He shows us real examples of how people can be hurt online through mean comments, spreading rumours, or posting embarrassing photos.

Keith also talks about the effects of cyberbullying, like feeling anxious, sad, or alone, and how it can mess with someone's mental health.

The video encourages students to think before they post, speak up if they see someone being bullied, and be kind online. It ends with questions to help students talk about what they learned and how they can help stop bullying in their own schools.

Digital learning Activity

https://padlet.com/imanmoustafa1/share-your-story-b9f7awbxwqwgx9gp

The interactive activity on Padlet encourages students to share their experiences or stories related to cyberbullying respectfully and anonymously. Students can post about what happened, how it made people feel, what was done to address the situation, and what could have been done better. It allows students to experience a collaborative environment where others can read, respond, engage in discussion, and learning about the impact of cyberbullying.

Acknowledgement of country

I would like to acknowledge the Wadjak Noongar people, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we learn and work today. I pay my respects to their Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. I recognise their continuing connection to land, waters, and culture, and acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded.
